Feathers

After my successful grass piece I have been thinking for days of a similar piece but in feather shape. I'm looking at images to get an idea of what it could be like... simple, light, and maybe even with a touch of black!
I was surprised to find this image from askabiologist.asu.edu/research/bird_feathers/ that shows all sorts of feather shapes... I'm feeling the urge to recreate "flight" and "filoplume".
